Send Dictation Files to Typist

Once the dictation has been uploaded, if the Medicolegal Provider is responsible for typing the report, you can send the dictation to typists.

  1. Select Contractor in the dropdown menu to allocate the typist.

  • Block View to Typist tick box will be available once the Typist box in Send Dictation Files is ticked.

  1. Upload dictation instructions, report templates, and report samples where necessary.

Tip: You can click on Attach Templates from Specialist Profile to automatically attach report templates from the specialist’s profile, with the condition that the Type of report on the case matches with the Type of report on the specialist’s profile. 

  1. Tick Typist in Send Dictation Files to send. A textbox will appear just to re-confirm. 

  2. Click Yes to proceed, and No, return if you’re unsure.

Tip: Tick Block View to Typist below the Dictation Sent to Typist if you want to prevent typists from viewing or making changes to the case.

  1. Click Save at the bottom to save the progress. The remaining area of this segment is for Typists to interact.

Note: At this stage, Typists can log into the portal to view/download paperwork, report instructions, samples, and templates and upload typed reports. Once the report draft is uploaded, staff will be notified immediately.
