Specialists - Assigned Medical Centres

OVERVIEW

This article covers the contents of the Assigned Medical Centres section in a Specialist USER ACCOUNT.


Assigned Medical Centres displays a list of locations that where a Specialist conducts their appointments.


Centres are created in USER ACCOUNTS → Service Centres. Specialists must have an assigned Medical Centre to create session availabilities in the Clinic Calendar and to be shown as an option in Appointment Search.


All "Onboarded" Specialists must have at least 1 Centre added to the Specialist’s profile in order to save the profile.

DISPLAY

Each Medical Centre assigned to the Specialist is displayed in a tabular view. 


The following fields obtained from the Service Centre (User Account) are displayed:

  • MLP Owned Clinic - location managed by the medicolegal provider
  • Specialist-Owned Clinic - location managed by the specialist or owned by a medical practice

  • If set, the default Centre is automatically added when adding the Specialist for new availabilities in the Clinic Calendar



ASSIGN A CENTRE TO A SPECIALIST

Prerequisite: The Centres you intend to add are already created and stored in USER ACCOUNTS → Service Centres.


From the Specialist User Account

  1. From the sidebar, go to USER ACCOUNTS → Specialists.
  2. Search and open your selected Specialist by clicking their Name (blue text).
  3. On the list of (horizontal) Specialist tabs, select Assigned Medical Centres.
  4. Click Add Centre, this will open a pop-up window, Assigned Centres.
  5. Find the Medical Centre to add under list All Medical Centres.
    • Use the Search Bar to help narrow the Medical Centres list.
  6. When found, under the Action column, Add the selected Centre.

 

 

From the Service Centre User Account

  1. From the sidebar, go to USER ACCOUNTS → Service Centres.
  2. Search and open your selected Service Centre by clicking their Clinic Name (blue text).
  3. Go to tab Registered Specialists.
  4. Click Add Specialists, this will open a pop-up window.
  5. In the pop-up window, find your Specialist.
    • Use the Search Bar to help narrow the results.
  6. When found, under the Action column, Add the selected Specialist.

 


REMOVE AN ASSIGNED CENTRE FROM A SPECIALIST

Note: Removing an Assigned Centre from a Specialist DOES NOT remove existing session availabilities with this pairing in the Clinic Calendar. Remove sessions in the Clinic Calendar if they are no longer required.


Note: You may end up removing the only Centre assigned to the "Onboarded" Specialist. If that happens, whenever the Specialist’s profile is opened, you will need to reassign a new Service Centre for the Specialist before saving.


From the Service Centre User Account

  1. From the sidebar, go to USER ACCOUNTS → Service Centres.
  2. Search and open your selected Service Centre by clicking their Clinic Name (blue text).
  3. Go to tab Registered Specialists.
  4. When found, Remove the selected Specialist.
    • Use the Search Bar to help narrow results shown.
